Southern Ice House League
House
League Parents,
Wow...we are only two months away from the start of our
2007-2008 House League Season at Southern Ice Arena. We hope
you are having an enjoyable and relaxing summer. Ryan Lessnau,
our new hockey director has been very busy preparing for the
upcoming fall-winter season to ensure this coming year is our
best yet.
For parents new to hockey and Southern Ice Arena, Southern Ice
offers youth hockey programs for boys and girls of all abilities
from ages 4 to 18. The Fall/Winter Season runs from
Mid-September to Mid-March. New players to the game are
encouraged to participate in our Learn To Play Hockey Program
prior to joining our league.

HERE for more information)
Our Learn to Play Hockey program will develop a foundation and
build confidence in a new player which in turn will allow them
to truly enjoy and feel more comfortable participating with more
experienced players.
Southern
Ice house league is designed for boys and girls ages 4 to 18 who
are interested in playing hockey on a recreational level.
Players who participate in our house league will have both
practice time and scheduled games against other house league
teams. Coaches try to play all players as evenly as possible in
the house league. House league players receive an average of
2-3 hours of ice time per week. All players will be “drafted”
and placed on teams after a preseason practice session so that
teams will be competitive. Players cannot play on a travel team
and a house team at the same time. Practice ice is typically
shared between two house league teams.
We
sincerely appreciate the coaches and managers who volunteer
countless hours of their time to help make our program a great
experience for our young athletes. Anyone interested in coaching
this coming season please click on the link below for a
Coaching Registration Form.
